Which language do you translate to and from?
I translate different types of content, mainly from English into German and occasionally also from German into English.
When will you be able to get back to me with a quote?
You will get your customised quote within 3-6 hours of sending your enquiry. If you are living in another time zone it might take a bit longer, but maximum 24 hours.
How long will my translation take?
This depends on many factors. For example, on the length of your text, the format of your original document, the deadline, etc. Usually I'm able to translate 3,000 words a day. My clients always appreciate my promptness and I always deliver on time, often also ahead of time.
Do you provide a test translation?
If it gives you some additional peace of mind, I'm prepared to give you a test translation for up to 250 words free of charge. This can be returned within 48 hours.
How much do you charge for your translation services?
Since each project is unique and different, I will provide you with a personalised quote. Usually, it is £0.07 per source word but this might vary, depending on the length, the format of the original document, the level of difficulty, the deadline and other factors. An additional charge of 20% may apply for rush jobs or unsociable hours.
What type of payment do you accept?
I accept payment in GBP, Euro and US-Dollars via PayPal or bank transfer. Please note that I do NOT accept cheques.
Do you keep my documents confidential?
Yes, I keep your documents confidential. There is nothing to worry about. With me you are in safe hands.
Do you sign NDAs?
Yes, I can sign an NDA (Non-Disclosure-Agreement) that you provide me, or I can tailor one to your project.
Do you offer pro bono work?
I offer pro bono services to certain non-profit organisations. For more information, please get in touch.
Do you provide any other services?
Yes, apart from translation I can also help you with post-editing, proofreading, voice over and writing assignments. If you send me more details, I can provide you with a quote and a set delivery date.
